MARLA Villas

More than just a regatta, the St Barth Cata Cup has allowed over the years to forge bonds of friendship not only between sailors but also between partners and crews who have the opportunity to mingle during the week and develop affinities that go beyond sailing races. Such is the case for Charles Tomeo and Nadine Bayard from MARLA Villas.

« Charles got in touch with us last year to book a villa during his stay. Once on the island he was pleased with the quality of our work and got on well with our staff : reception agent and the Concierge who followed him during his stay», said Nadine. «I congratulated him by email for his 10th place finish in 2016 and also shared my own passion for sailing, being part of the women-only sailing crew VOILES AU FEMININ that has been competing in the Caribbean circuit for the past 5 years.»

Charles Tomeo consequently approached MARLA Villas a couple of months ago and communicated his desire to defend their colours in the 10e edition of the St Barth Cata Cup, which the team agreed to with great pleasure.

« We did well last year finishing 10th in the overall standings and Dalton and I’s hope is to perform even better this year. Both Dalton and I promote the event, the Island and all the people not only involved in the organisation but also the people of the island. We feel that it is our home away from home. Our plan is to stay in a beautiful Villa that is one of many that Marla Villas has to offer. Their family style service continues to spoil me and will keep me coming back», said Charles Tomeo.

Charles Tomeo and Dalton Tebo will be sailing together on the 2010 Gold Medal boat representing MARLA Villas. We wish them the best of luck!
