NEW CREWS FROM SWITZERLAND AND GERMANY

Registration period is now completed, the list of crews that will take part in the next edition of the St Barth Cata Cup is available in the Race section of our Website. The organisation would like to thank all of those who have once again this year expressed their desire to attend the event.

The organisation takes pride in seeing the diversity of registered crews, as much by their level than their country of origin. Last year, we had the pleasure to welcome for the first time in the history of the event crews from Argentinia and the United Kingdom. This year, the Swiss and German are well-represented with with 3 teams from each country. Michel Mamzer, a regular at the event and proud representative of Switzerland will most certainly be happy to be among his own! We would like to welcome Guillaume Labrenne / Jean-Richard Minardi and Kai Naf / Daniel Heeb.

On the German side, Fabian Syring, Micha Steffens, Stefan Vogel and Jens Uwe Tonne are all back for another edition and it will be a first for John Andreas.

Fabian Syring had this to say about his experience at the St Barth Cata Cup : « We raced at the Cata Cup for a first time in 2014 and absolutely loved our experience. The winds were strong and made the sailing quite challenging for us because we are a lightweight crew. It’s the whole package of the event that made us want to come back, the racing is great, the activities are fun and the island is amazing. Although I am currently busy sailing on M2 for the Swiss team Immoset, I will make sure to be in Brest for the next F18 event to get ready for the Cata Cup! »
