The F18 World Championships will take place from October 28 to November 4, 2016, at the Yacht Club Argentino.

Three of the participating crews will then make the trip to the St Barth Cata Cup: Ferioli Federico/Gonzales Smith Lucas, Faustin Juan/Aragones Nicolas and Gonzales Smith Cruz/Heuser Mariano. Gonzales Smith Cruz/Heuser Mariano, who came fifth in the 2015 St Barth Cata Cup, were the champions of Buenos Aires Week in early October.
