The organization has been preparing for the past several months and now the racers have all arrived on the Island. The time has come to launch the eighth edition of the St-Barth Cata Cup. In total, 114 racers will be converging in St-Jean Bay to compete against the best of the F18 Class for 4 race days. Organizers are expecting another exciting edition and one during which high speed and technical prowess will be featured.

 

« We have a very interesting mix of racers this year. Some sail on flying boats during the season, others spend most of their time in offshore racing and then we have the F18 hardliners », says Hélène Guilbaud, from the organizing committee. « What’s most interesting is that despite the growing numbers of supports, we always have a strong interest for the event. »

According to Todd Ricardi, the St-Barth Cata Cup is the epitome of what he loves about catsailing. «Essentially, it’s 4 days of big waves, sustained winds, againt 55 very talented crews. No matter the conditions, I am always assured of having a good time with my friends.»
