A VETERAN OF THE ST-BARTH CATA CUP

Pascal Marchais is a veteran of the St-Barth Cata Cup. The racer from Guadeloup, who never misses a chance to sail with his friends, will be in St-Barth for his 8th consecutive year. This is what he had to say about the regatta.

This is your 8th edition of the St-Barth Cata Cup. You are one of the most long-standing racers at the event. Why do you come back every year ?

How could I not come back to St-Barth to sail with my friends from the northern Islands ! This type of event feels more like a World Championship than a local race, which is extraordinary in our part of the world. Thank you for inviting us to be part of this celebration of catsailing in the Carribbeans !

What do you think distinguishes the St-Barth Cata Cup from other F18 events ?

Being a resident of the West Indies for a while now, it is not the weather or the blue sea but rather the atmosphere, the St-Barth spirit and this incredible organization that continues to progress every year.

Two words to describe the event ?

Glop Glop !
